Are you ready to start landing publicity that positions you as an expert and grows your business or promotes your book?
This starts out with three foundational lessons, which should be done in order:
- Establishing Yourself as an Expert (Even if You Don’t Feel Like One): The very first thing I do with every client is work on their expert statement, which will eventually go directly into your pitch to establish your credibility and highlight your unique attributes. In this module you’ll learn:
- The 2 main types of publicity opportunities (and learn the difference)
- The framework to quickly assess how to distinguish yourself as an expert
- The #1 mistake people make when pitching (and how to avoid it)
- Developing Your Pitch List: Before you can start writing pitches, you need to know who you’re pitching. This module teaches you our system for identifying the right outlets for you. In this module you’ll learn:
- How to identify the right opportunities for your business
- The process for reaching out to media contacts and how to find their contact information
- Constructing your pitch list in a strategic order (and how to know when it’s the right time to pitch)
- Pitch Perfect: Once you’ve nailed your expert statement and built out your initial pitch list, it’s time to start writing your pitches! In this module you’ll learn:
- The unique pitching blueprint that practically guarantees results
- Identify your core message and receive individualized feedback and support
- The process for following up with media (and what not to do)
Then you can move into the TV Appearances lesson, where you will learn:
- Which shows you should target
- How to choose the best angle for each type of show
- What makes for a great TV appearance
Happy pitching!
